Enstranged & Hostile

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly chasing something? A better job, more peace, more purpose? The Bible says in Colossians 1 that we were once estranged and hostile — far from God — but Jesus came to reconcile us, to bring us back. Not just fix us, but root us in real, lasting hope.

Problem is, we tend to shift from one thing to another. We chase shiny things: success, approval, distractions. But Paul says, ‘Continue steadfast in the faith without shifting from the hope of the gospel.’ We need spiritual and emotional stability. We need to stop shifting and to stay grounded.

Here is your challenge: read Colossians 1 this week. One chapter. One hope. One Christ. He made you. He died for you. He’s your firm foundation. No more chasing. Stay rooted. Stay hopeful. Don’t shift. Jesus is your greatest treasure.
