The Power of Prayer

Published on 17 September 2025 at 20:59

Do you ever struggle to pray for people you don’t like—or for leaders you don’t agree with?

In 1 Timothy chapter 2, Paul urges us to pray for everyone—friends, enemies, even rulers, whether they are honorable and upstanding, or evil and corrupt. Why? Because Christ died for everyone. Prayer isn’t just personal—it’s powerful. When we pray for all, we join God’s mission to bring peace, justice, and salvation to the whole world.

So today, let’s broaden our prayer focus. Let’s pray for our neighbor, our boss, our leaders—pray even for those who frustrate you. Because when we pray for all, we’re living out the truth: Christ calls us to pray for all, because He died for all.

Join us at 10 o’clock this Sunday at Pleasant View United Methodist Church.
