Have you ever felt spiritually dry? Like you are trying your hardest, but nothing seems to grow?
In John 15, Jesus says, “I am the true vine.” He does not say, “Try harder.” He says, “Abide in me.”
A branch does not produce fruit by straining. It bears fruit by staying connected to the vine. And that is good news for tired souls.
Isaiah says God brings water to thirsty places and makes the desert bloom. That means your dry season is not beyond God’s reach. Your pruning season is not proof that God has left you. Sometimes God is cutting away what drains life so that deeper fruit can grow.
So, stop white-knuckling your faith. Come back to the vine. Pray. Rest. Worship. Open Scripture. Let Christ’s life flow into yours again.
The vine is still here. Life is still flowing. And there is fruit in you worth growing.
