Are you walking through a valley? Maybe it’s grief. Maybe it’s fear about the future. Maybe it’s a struggle no one else can see. Psalm 23 says something powerful, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”
Notice it doesn’t say we won’t have valleys. It says we won’t walk through them alone. God is not distant from your pain. He doesn’t shout encouragement from the mountaintop. He walks with you through the valley. And the psalm ends with a promise, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”
God’s goodness is chasing you down. Even today. Even in this moment. Even in the valley.
