Scripture: John 20

Mary stood outside the tomb, weeping. Everything she believed in… everything she hoped for… felt gone. The stone was rolled away, but she didn’t yet understand what that meant. She thought the story was over. But then, Jesus called her name. “Mary.” And in that moment, everything changed. That’s the power of the empty tomb. That’s resurrection power!
Resurrection declares, “death does not win.”
Resurrection tells us, “despair will not destroy us.”
Resurrection power proclaims God is still at work.
How many times have we stood in our own “empty tomb” moments?
Moments of grief, confusion, or loss… wondering where God is?
Easter reminds us that just because you don’t see Jesus, that doesn’t mean He isn’t there.
The same risen Christ who called Mary by name calls you by name today. The tomb is empty.
Hope is alive. And your story is not over.
