Have you been trying hard to get your life together and nothing’s working out? Maybe you even started going to church and to every Bible study you can find, but nothing changes! In Hosea 6:6, God says, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” God is not asking for empty performance. God is asking for our hearts.
Hosea calls God’s people to return, not just to religious habits, or empty prayers, but to love. Real repentance makes you merciful and compassionate. When you truly repent, you let God soften your hard heart.. So today, ask yourself: Am I offering God a routine, or am I offering God my heart? God is already waiting with mercy. Return to love.
