Scripture: Exodus 19:2-8

Have you ever wondered why God chose Israel in the Old Testament? In Exodus 19, God reminds the Israelites how He carried them "on eagles' wings" and brought them to Himself. Then He gives them a purpose: "You shall be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation."
Notice that God rescued them before He gave them a mission. The same is true for us. We don't earn God's love by being holy. God loves us first, saves us first, and then calls us to live differently.
To be holy doesn't mean being perfect. It means being set apart for God's purposes. It means showing God's love, grace, mercy, and truth in a world that desperately needs hope.
Every day, we have opportunities to reflect Christ through our words, our actions, and the way we treat others.
God didn't save us just for ourselves. He saved us to be a blessing to others.
Today, ask yourself: How can I reflect God's holiness in my family, workplace, school, or community?
Because God's call is still the same: Be a holy people.
