Have you ever tried to talk yourself out of something God was calling you to do?
Jeremiah did. He was tired of being mocked, tired of being misunderstood, tired of carrying a hard word. He even said, “I will not mention God anymore.”
But then he said it felt like fire shut up in his bones.
That fire was not the problem. It was the calling.
Sometimes the thing we keep trying to contain is the very thing God is asking us to release. A word of encouragement. A step of obedience. A ministry. A prayer. A truth spoken in love.
Jesus tells His disciples that following Him will not always be easy, but they will not be alone. The Spirit will speak through them.
So don’t be afraid of the fire God has placed in you. Let it burn with love, courage, and grace.
