Scripture: Romans 5

Have you ever carried around guilt so long that it started to feel like part of who you are?
The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 5:1, "Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Imagine a mortgage note stamped in red ink: PAID IN FULL.
Not a payment plan.
Not a reduced balance.
Not "keep trying and maybe someday you'll get there."
Paid in full.
That's what justifying grace means.
Long before Abram ever saw God's promise fulfilled, he simply trusted God, and Scripture says, "the Lord reckoned it to him as righteousness."
God's grace moved first.
And while we were still sinners, Christ stepped in and paid a debt we could never repay ourselves.
So maybe the question today is this:
What guilt are you still carrying that Jesus already carried to the cross?
Stop appealing a verdict God has already settled.
You are not on trial.
You are not earning your way back to God.
In Christ, the note has been burned, the debt is gone, and peace with God is yours to receive.
